In terms of notifications, you have three main possibilities in Microsoft Teams with Microsoft Development firm. The "banner and email" notification will display a pop-up message in a banner located at the bottom right of the screen and send an email (at a frequency that you can set) containing the notification information. If you select the "banner" option, the banner notification will be displayed, but no email will be sent. If you select "Show only in feed", the notification will only be visible via the feed located at the top left of the application.
You will find the number of notifications in your activity feed and, via this feed, you can keep a list of the most recent notifications. You can also filter the notifications in your feed by categories, a handy feature when viewing your recent
Choice of notification modes
On the notification settings page of your Microsoft Teams profile, you'll find a long list of actions that can generate notifications. Fortunately, there are also granular controls to help you tailor your preferences.
As you consider your choices, keep in mind that there are other tools that can help you manage your notifications while you work. For example, you can enable banner notifications through the Microsoft Teams desktop app. You can also choose to set your Outlook inbox sorting rules to manage email notifications rather than disabling them (or use Microsoft Flow to initiate other actions from those notifications!).
Importantly, Teams license holders can turn off @mentions in Teams settings (see below), and you can unsubscribe from a chat or mute it so it doesn't generate notifications.
Tracking a user's status
You can set Microsoft Teams to send you a notification when a user's status changes, so you can more easily know when your collaborators are available to chat.
Take the time to think about how you work...
It's true that many of us don't like being hassled with multiple notifications, but we also want to make sure we don't miss any important updates or requests, even if we're out of the office. Ask yourself how you want to manage your notifications, which chats, people or teams are most important, and how to ensure that you follow all the news that concerns you.
And in any case, remember that a good work-life balance is essential! So make the most of these configuration options and make sure your free time really is free time.
